ZeniRace 80A/100A 4-in-1 ESC FAQ

The ZeniRace 80A and 100A ESCs support DC 7–36V (2S–8S LiPo), making them suitable for a wide range of FPV and UAV platforms, from freestyle and long-range drones to heavy-lift builds.

Both models share the same firmware, MCU, and feature set. The main difference is the current capacity.

80A ESC Continuous Current:80A Burst Current:90A Recommended Use:5–8" Freestyle, Long Range, Racing

100A ESC Continuous Current:100A Burst Current:110A Recommended Use:Heavy-Lift, Cinelifter, X8, High-Power UAV

If your setup requires larger motors, higher voltage, or heavier payloads, the 100A ESC is the better choice.

Yes. The ESC is compatible with both BLHeli_S and BlueJay firmware, allowing pilots to choose the firmware that best suits their flying style. BlueJay adds features such as configurable PWM frequencies and, on supported hardware/configurations, bidirectional DShot.

The ESC supports standard 8-pin ESC-to-FC connections and is compatible with most Betaflight, INAV, ArduPilot, and other mainstream flight controllers that support DShot or PWM protocols.

The ESC supports:

DShot150

DShot300

DShot600

PWM

This ensures compatibility with both modern digital flight controllers and legacy systems.

No. The ZeniRace ESC does not include an onboard BEC.

If your flight controller or peripherals require regulated 5V or 9V power, use the BEC integrated into your flight controller or install an external BEC.

Yes.

An integrated current sensor provides real-time current telemetry to compatible flight controllers for improved battery monitoring and power management.

TVS (Transient Voltage Suppression) helps protect the ESC from voltage spikes generated during battery connection, rapid throttle changes, or motor braking.

This improves overall reliability and helps extend the lifespan of the ESC.

The ESC is compatible with most brushless motors operating within its voltage and current specifications.

Typical applications include:

5–10 inch FPV drones

Long-range platforms

Cinelifters

Heavy-lift UAVs

Custom drone projects

Always ensure your motor's maximum current draw is within the ESC's rated specifications.

Yes.

Both the 80A and 100A models support up to 8S LiPo input (36V DC), making them suitable for high-voltage FPV and professional UAV applications.

The ESC uses a standard wiring layout:

Battery Input (+ / –)

Motor Outputs (M1–M4)

Signal Connector

Current Sensor Output

Telemetry (TX)

Follow the wiring diagram in the product manual and always verify polarity before connecting the battery.

Yes.

Each ESC includes two 63V 1000μF low-ESR capacitors, which help reduce electrical noise and absorb voltage spikes during high-load operation.

Yes.

The ESC supports firmware updates using compatible BLHeli_S/BlueJay configurators. During flashing, ensure the battery remains connected and do not interrupt power, as doing so can corrupt the firmware.

No.

The ESC is not waterproof and should be protected from water, moisture, and conductive debris.

The ZeniRace ESC is covered by a 3-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects under normal operating conditions.

The warranty does not cover:

Crash damage

Reverse polarity

Improper wiring

Liquid damage

Physical modifications

Damage caused by exceeding rated specifications
